The town is painted with rainbows, which means Pride Weekend is upon us. The schedule is packed with non-stop celebrations, including the epic Pride parade and lots of specials and events at local restaurants and bars. Plus, this weekend marks the start of the DC JazzFest and the Golden Cinema outdoor movie series. You can also eat unlimited crawfish at Bar Elena, meditate at the Mandarin, and work out for free at Gold’s Gym with your best bud. Make this your first stop for events and things to do in DC this weekend.
The SALLY’s Pride Parade Pregame Party will take place on the patio with cocktail and beer specials. City Tap Dupont is partying with Ba’Naka for drag brunch followed by drag trivia and a ladies late-night party after the parade. Commissary is hosting Miss United States, Andromeda Peters, for a Beauty Kween Brunch Party with tiaras and glitter cocktails. Marvin is celebrating on the roof deck with DJ Keenan Orr and a signature cocktail benefitting Casa Ruby. The DNV Rooftop is getting beachy with a Gaywatch pool party on Sunday featuring DJ Alkimist and cocktails served in beach buckets.
Also on Sunday, Republic Restoratives is throwing Not The White House Pride Party with DJ Tezrah with food from the BBQ Bus, and, of course, cocktails (benefitting TransLAW). Other philanthropic specials include: a pride sundae from Nicoletta Italian Kitchen (proceeds go toward The Trevor Project); rainbow waffles, cake pops, and a signature drink for the DC Area Transmasculine Society at Frenchy’s Naturel; rainbow Italian almond cake from Nicoletta Pizzeria supports Casa Ruby; and b’day milkshakes at Milk Bar benefits The Trevor Project.
