6th and Constitution Avenue NW
Luca della Robbia was one of the master sculptors of the Italian Renaissance, inventing a glazing technique for sculpting that resonated throughout the artistic movement. Many of Luca’s sculptures retain their vibrant colors today, and the National Gallery of Art will display some of his finest works in this new exhibit (works by Luca’s son and grandsons will also be shown). Prepare to view marble and bronze masterpieces that still resonate, even 600 years after their creation.
